I spent years scaling tech unicorns from London. Then, in May 2017, I packed my life into storage, bought a one-way ticket, and decided to build companies while exploring the world.

Dipak Vadera

Born in the Canary Islands, I spent my twenties climbing the corporate ladder in the UK, helping companies like Uber and Hootsuite establish their dominance. I was good at it, but the four walls of an office felt small. So I traded my flat for a backpack and my desk for whatever café, mountain peak, or train carriage had a decent Wi-Fi connection. Today, I travel full-time, moving to a new country every three weeks, while helping B2B SaaS teams build sustainable growth through Partnerships, Community, and Ecosystem.

LET’S START WITH MY STORY

It started on an island.

Growing up in the Canaries, the ocean was the only boundary. I started my first business at fifteen, writing copy and translating documents between school classes. I was fascinated by the idea of building something from nothing, block by block. That side hustle paid my way through university, but more importantly, it taught me how to communicate value.

The corporate sprint.

After university, I threw myself into the tech world. I was there when Uber first launched in the UK, navigating the chaos of a hyper-growth startup. At Hootsuite, I built the Inside Sales Team from the ground up, turning it into the top-performing unit in EMEA. I loved the challenge of scaling companies, but the routine began to chafe. I wanted the growth, but I wanted the world, too.

The one-way ticket.

In 2017, I moved out of my flat, placed all my belongings in storage and embarked on a journey of a lifetime with a one-way ticket, backpacking full-time (hence the nickname)

Now I build pipelines... in flip-flops.

Today, I help B2B brands tell better stories, build stronger pipelines, and grow
